Who are airbus?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Airbus<\/strong> are the largest aeronautics and space company in Europe, active in the
commercial aircraft, helicopter, defence and space sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Airbus are developing the next generation of aircraft to be lighter, safer, and more fuel efficient. Airbus are actively working on contributing to the industries goal of reaching net\u2013zero carbon emissions by 2050!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The objective<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The main objective was simple, to design a storage system for a brand-new
purpose-built warehouse for the future of Airbus Helicopters. The new warehouse was built to allow all operations to take place under one roof, instead of working out of four different units. With the aim to ensure a more streamlined and efficient service for their customers, this proved to be an exciting project for Airbus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project’s success!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our dedicated Design Expert, Ian, liaised and worked with our customer Stuart throughout the project to ensure all requirements were met and every detail was accounted for. Based on our customers\u2019 needs, Ian recommended a combination of Pallet Racking, as this is a safe and cost-effective solution for storing goods above ground level, and Cantilever Racking, ideal for storing long, heavy loads that are machine-loaded. In addition to this, Ian suggested a range of our Rapid 1 and Rapid 2 shelving due to its strength and durability. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In just twelve days, the racking and shelving systems were fully installed by SEIRS-approved installers. To ensure the highest industry standards and codes of practice were met, our installers were on hand to build the shelving and racking exactly as agreed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the project\u2019s completion, our customer has now moved into their fully functioning new warehouse. Stuart, Segment Manager at Airbus, explained how \u201cperformance has improved considerably, and the speed at which operations can now take place is having a significant benefit to the company. The new unit will continue to help Airbus grow, so it\u2019s been a massive success!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
